Filippo Piccinini completed perfectly in time both the Bachelor and the Master degree in Biomedical Engineering. He obtained the maximum evaluation (100/110 Cum Laude), even working (as teacher in the public secondary school) 4 years of the 5 years of the University time. Immediately after the Master graduation, he won a PhD ministry scholarship. Then, he completed perfectly in time his doctorate, publishing 4 journal articles and 7 conference proceedings directly during the 3 years of the PhD time. At the end, he had the honor of being appointed by the Magnifico Rector of the University of Bologna for the final speech at the PhD ceremony. He won several awards for thesis and other merits and now he is working as Post-Doctoral researcher at the University of Bologna, collaborating with many international research institutes, among them the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland and the Biological Research Center of Szeged, Hungary.
